I walk towards the 'Reporter's block' thinking about the 'manner less girl' and due to my thoughts and inattentiveness i bump into a girl. I bend down to pick her file, as i do so i catch a glimpse of her long, slender legs and her very high heels, it reminds me of sally. I get up to return her file.
She smiles and asks "excuse me, i am looking for Miss Kulkarni do you have any idea where i can find her?"
this manner less girl is driving me crazy! where the hell could she be. I answer "no, i am sorry, i am looking for her too."
she smiles, but i think of 'her' smiling no one's smile has had an impact on me like this before, not even sally's. My thoughts are jostled into a halt by man walking towards us.
Security guard...
"yaar beku saar?" he asks wanting to know, who i am here for.
"Amulya kulkarni" i say.
His gaze wanders on me like a snake moves s lithely on a muddy squishy ground. Maybe due to my accent, he tells " road end, government school, madam story childrens photo, camera." and smiles toothy grin.
"Thank you" i say.
"Thanku thankuu saar" he says i smile and walk towards the gate to search for her.
the girl calls out to me " i will wait for miss Kulkarni in the office."
i nod and start walking when she speaks again " i am tammana shergil by the way."
"Raghav Kashyap." I respond and walk out of the gate thinking about the manner-less girl's hidden behind the camera.
